Extension for Visual Studio - Process Template Editor for Team Foundation Server 2017. Customize process template experience in TFS 2013. To use a custom script, you can simply commit in git source, push to the server and choose it pressing New in the Process Section of the build. Aggregate Completed and Estimated Work in Team Foundation Server User Stories using Excel. Download as PDF, TXT or read online from Scribd. Flag for inappropriate content. Don't forget that creating a work item type only is the beginning if you also want to have e. Reports, or display them in project portal. We just went through the process (with TFS 2010). In hindsight, getting some external experience on this would have been far more effective.
I'm using TFS 2010. I have a string field with a list of allowed values. When I view the work item the list is sorted alphabetically (the original list is not sorted alphabetically). Is there any way to display the vaule order as the same given in the work item template. Is there any way to change the sort order to desc?
I know I can write a custom control for this but I was wondering if there was any easier way.
thanks,
There is no way to sort a list of values (allowed, suggested, or even taken from a global list) in any order, but ascending alphabetically.
You do have two option though:
Hope this helps.

Assaf StoneAssaf StoneI have a default template for work item (test case, bugs, user story etc) but it has limited number of fields, can someone help me how can I add more fields to my existing template to gather more information for each work item. I am admin for my project in Team Foundation Server.
Thanks.
Varun GuptaThis is a fairly simple process when you have the Team Foundation Server Power tools installed. If you want to store these workitem definitions in sourcecontrol (for later updates), then here's a nice walkthrough.
You can also use the Team Foundation Server Power tools directly to update the workitems directly on the server. This is not recommended if you want to distribute your updates to multiple team projects. But I find it an easy way to apply the changes I want to a temporary team project, then download the changed template to then distribute it to all the other projects.
Be sure to restart Visual Studio after changing the work item definitions or you will possibly need to force Team Explorer to refresh the local cache.
